SECTION 2 – CATTLE
(NOTE: Rule 20 applies all the way through except where stated.)
JUDGING COMMENCES AT 10.30 a.m. SHARP
Unless animals are entered in the Catalogue and a signed entry form, they will not be allowed in the Show.
The Irish Shows Association would advise all Animal owners who have their Animals Insured to have the Insurance cover extended to cover them while showing animals at Shows. We understand that it cost very little or nothing at all depending on whom you have Insurance cover with.
All correct & appropriate numbers must be attached to animals before Judging; if not, No Prize Money will be awarded.
Animal Health Status

Animals in classes where weight applies must be weighed before 10.30am and any animal found to be over the weight for a class can then be entered into a higher weight class. Only 1 weighing per animal on the day.
No Animal entered in The Baileys Cow Competition this year, may be entered in the Open Dairy section of Virginia Show.
No animal entered in the Open Dairy section may be stalled with the Baileys Animals.
Judging of stockperson commences in Ring 1 at 10.30am sharp.
The IHFA Young Members Association (YMA) Showmanship League 2024
Qualifying points awarded for 1st to 6th place towards the Grand Final at the National Dairy Show, Millstreet in October. Calves to be size appropriate.
The three YMA member classes will be judged as follows: Dress and appearance of handler, knowledge of their animal and ability to handle and present the animal to its best advantage in the Show Ring.
Vouchers may be awarded in lieu of cash in any class.
A special prize for the Cow with the best Udder of the Show over all Dairy Classes.
No entries permitted on day of event.
